Description
This inspired saké cup by Wada Tōzan is glazed in a technique called hakémé. A thick ash slip is applied with a stiff brush in one sweeping, focused stroke. The piece is then finished with iron-rich brushwork.
Deftly formed from a grainy clay and fitting fully in the hand, this cup is sure to become a saké enthusiast's guarded treasure.
