Description
For nearly a century, Kotoura Kiln has produced fine Kyō-yaki (Kyoto ware) porcelain for both tea ceremony and daily use. On this lovely chawan, overglaze images of rabbit-eared irises, called shōbu, are skillfully rendered in enamels and then detailed with 24-carat gold. The body is deftly formed and perfectly balanced upon a well-crafted footring bearing the kiln stamp.
A lovely seasonal piece of ceramic art for the tea ceremony practitioner.
A wooden presentation box will be custom made to order and signed by the artist. Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
