Description
Through constant experimentation and refinement, Kamada Kōji has produced a number of glazes over the years, each one further adding to the breadth and brilliance of his tenmoku artistry.
This inspired pottery wall decoration is done in the artist's signature ginshō tenmoku. The high iron content in the glaze gives the piece a distinctive brushed metal-like finish which dramatically changes character according to the surrounding light. Golden highlights around the edges add a sense of refined luxury.
The ideal wall accessory for any contemporary or minimalist décor.
Kamada Kōji's tenmoku works are held in private collections around the world and, in 2005, were acquired by New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art for display in their Asian Art collection.
This piece is mounted on a hardwood backing and signed by the artist. It is shipped in a heavy cardstock box for extra protection. Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
