An octagonal, black glazed (kokuyū) decorative stand with floral motifs by mingei potter Kawai Tōru. For ikébana flower arrangements or as a centerpiece for any large table.
Kawai Tōru is the grandnephew of Kawai Kanjiro and the last to study under the legendary master. Over the years, he has refined his own particular style of mingei pottery - one that emphasizes clean lines and geometric forms.
