Haiji Porcelain Tumbler by Ikai Yūichi

Description

Ash glazing specialist Ikai Yūichi follows a new creative tangent and proudly introduces this handcrafted tumbler.  It is skillfully formed from a porcelain clay (jiki) and glazed in a natural ash (hai) made from rice husks.  Mostly bone white, incisions in the claybody help catch hints of green where the glaze vitrified while cooling in the kiln.

An elegantly cool and versatile drinking vessel, this tumbler is ideal for beer, cold green tea or iced tea.

A wooden presentation box will be custom made to order and signed by the artist.  Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
