Description
This ash glazed (haiyū) tea ceremony bowl by Wada Hiroaki was wood-fired at Ōizumi-gama - the Wada family's noborigama climbing kiln. Inside the kiln at 1,250°C (2,300°F) degrees, it was forever changed by a number of yōhen kiln reactions between temperature, the glaze, and minerals in the claybody. It came from the kiln enrobed in lovely pastel hues and flashes of orange. It makes a lovely addition to any tea ceremony vessel collection.
A wooden presentation box will be custom made to order and signed by the artist. Delivery time for this item is 2 weeks.
